Biography[edit]

He studied music and piano at the age of seven with Miguel Monge Magistris [1] and cello at eight with Olga Tarasova, later with Aldo Mata at the Conservatorio Superior de Castilla y León and from 2016 to the present with Roel Dieltiens at the Zurich University of the Arts [2], where he also studies historical cello and Viola da gamba with Martin Zeller. His strong personality and unusual approach to music lead him to receive awards for Best String Artist and Third Prize [3] at the 15th edition of “Intercentros Melómano”, Förderpreis 2020 [4] prize at the ZHdK University of the Arts with the project The cello in Andalucía, to offer solo concerts around Europe, in prestigious concert halls such as Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Hindemith Foundation (Blonay), Studio Ernest Ansermet (Geneva), Servais Society (Belgium) [5], Juan March Foundation (Madrid) [2], Alte Musik Zürich Festival, AMIA Foundation (Strasbourg) [6], Cultuurcentrum Halle and to get support and scholarships from Lyra Foundation, Freundeskreis Musik ZHdK or Elsy Meyer Foundation. As a researcher he writes articles for the Melómano magazine [7] or the “Almoraima” magazine, he is a member of the Instituto de Estudios Campogibraltareños [2] and founder of Ricercando l'ignoto. He makes recordings for RTS “Rádio Télévision Suisse” of Mathilde Kralik's Unpublished Trio [8] and George Enescu's Octet.

He stands out for a wide range of interests ranging from early music to contemporary music, inspiring his interpretation in the study of historical recordings and treatises. He is a member of the Zürcher Barockorchester [9] and he is a guest artist of the Kammerorchester Basel and the Thurgauer Kammerorchester.

He plays a Charles Buthod cello from 1858 on loan from the Maggini Stiftung and a Mathias Neüner, 1802. [2]
