Awards

DLEF Essay Prize (2024)

In 2024, Abbas was awarded the Essay Prize by the Dental Law and Ethics Forum (DLEF) in the category for registrants between two and five years post-registration. The DLEF, established 25 years ago, is a forum for professionals working in dental law and ethics, and runs an annual essay competition to encourage early-career dental professionals to engage with dento-legal aspects of their work.[6][7][8] Each winning entrant is required to present their essay at the DLEF's annual December meeting. The 2024 essay titles were described by DLEF President Chris Morris as being "designed to explore reflection on contemporary issues which can arise in dental practice."
