Jayce Bartok [1]is a New York based actor, writer and director.[1] He resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Tiffany Bartok and his son, Jaxon Bartok. [2] He acted in many films from a young age, the first being The Fisher King. His most notable role was as Pony in Richard Linklater's, SubUrbia. He began working behind the camera when he wrote the screenplay for The Cake Eaters starring Kristen Stewart. [3] His directorial debut was the feature film Fall to Rise, starring Daphne Rubin-Vega. Robert Redford said of the film "Fall to Rise is a heart filling drama about the outstanding dedication of dancers to their art. Director Jayce Bartok beautifully captured the emotional difficulties of dancers coming to terms with age and identity." [4] His most recent work was the documentary film Larger Than Life The Kevyn Aucoin Story about famed makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin which he produced. Jayce Bartok played Detective Hildebrandt in Ava Duvernay's When They See Us. [5]
