Jaylin Carter is an American football running back for the Memphis Tigers. He previously played for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Early life

Carter attended Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia. He committed to play college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.[1]

College career

As a freshman in 2025, Carter rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries, while catching 20 passes for 133 yards. After the season, he entered the NCAA transfer portal.[2]

Carter transferred to play for the Memphis Tigers.[3] In week zero of the 2026 season, he notched 97 yards and a touchdown in a win against UNLV.[4] In week one, Carter ran for 183 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries in a victory over Arkansas State.[5]
