Jayna Tida
Jayna Tida is a British Indian Actress. She played the lead Ayesha Merchant in the west end Musical The Merchants of Bollywood directed by Toby Gough and Choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.[1][2] Based on the true story of two notable choreographers of the Indian film industry, Hiralal Merchant and his granddaughter, Vaibhavi Merchant. In July 2015, she was cast as Rani Sulakshana[3] in the period drama Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.[4] She has featured in multiple commercials for companies such as Honda City,[5][unreliable source?] Ponds and Samsung.[6][unreliable source?]
Early life and background[edit]
Tida was born in London, United Kingdom. She is of Gujarati descent. She is a medical physiology graduate from King's College London. Before pursuing a career in acting she worked for Estée Lauder Companies, UK and was the director of choreography of the eastern-western dance troupe Dhoon XY based in London, who have performed live at the Royal Albert Hall.[7][third-party source needed]

Tida was signed by the celebrity management agency Matrix India Entertainment and went on to feature in commercials for Honda City, Samsung, Capri, Dove, Sony Cybershot, Hp Laptops, Micromax, Airtel, ICICI, Ponds and Dabur Hair oil.[citation needed]
