Jean Arthur Jones is an award-winning American poet and an editor. Jean Jones is co-editor with Bruce Whealton for the online magazine Word Salad Poetry Magazine. Jean lives in the Wilmington, Cape Fear North Carolina area. Jean has seen many of his poems published in various journals and books.

Biography[edit]

From The Birds of Djakarta Jean Jones we read: "Jean Jones attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College and received his B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He later went on to receive an M.F.A. degree in creative writing from Bowling Green State University.[1]

Awards[edit]

In 2008, Jean Jones received the [2] through St. Andrews Presbyterian College, given to frequent contributors to St. Andrews Press and who make a contribution to the community.

In addition, Jean Jones received the Bowling Green State University Irina Ratushinskaya Freedom Book Award, and the UNC Wilmington Creative Writing Program Book Award.[3]

In 2005, Jean Jones received the LizBeth poetry award from the zine.[4]
