Jean Galvão

Jean Galvão is a Brazilian cartoonist, designer and cartoonist native of São Paulo.
Biography[edit]
Born in Cruzeiro (SP) in 1972, he began his career at the age of 18, drawing for trade union bulletins. In 1993 he was hired as a cartoonist by the newspaper Valeparaibano, from São José dos Campos. Since 1999, he has published political cartoons on page 2 of the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, where he shares space with colleagues Angeli, Benett and João Montanaro. In the 2000s, he became well known when he worked as an illustrator for the children's magazine Recreio published by Editora Abril.[1] In the same magazine, a series of children's comic strips known as Animatiras were published. Later, the Animatiras strips were published in 2 collections by Abril.[2] Later he became known when he created the character Vó, which also had two comic strip collections being sold over time.[3]
