Personal Life[edit]

Jeffery Gerard Burton was born May 17, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to Leon and Patricia Burton. Jeff's early years were spent in Fenton, Missouri where he had many adventures with his brothers Greg, Lee, and Derek.

Jeff married his wife Juli, whom he met at the radio station where he worked and had two daughters, Abby and Casey.

Jeff was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021 and ultimately succumbed to his sickness on August 15, 2022..[1]

Radio Career[edit]

Jeff began the radio career for which he'd be known in Springfield, Missouri working both for the radio station and for McSalty's Pizza. However, he quickly found the opportunity to return to his home in St. Louis working for KPNT, 105.7 The Point, a position he would maintain for over 20 years.

During his career on the radio, Jeff took both the lead and supporting roles on a variety of programs. Perhaps best known for his role in the "Jeff and Julie in the Morning" show and most recently as a member of The Rizzuto Show .

During the course of his radio career, Jeff interviewed hundreds of notable individuals, ranging from members of popular bands, TV & movie stars, and sports figures.

Writing Career- The Watering Hole[edit]

Ever the loving and caring person, Jeff's utter belief in his fellow man is embodied in his first-ever children's book, The Watering Hole. 'Everything is better with friends' is the moral of the book, which was illustrated by Brooke Renfro[2]. The story follows a pair of animals who are looking for the local watering hole. Along their journey, they encounter other animals who are looking for the same thing. Together, they reach their goal, learn about friendship, and have fun along the way.

The book was well received and was nominated for multiple awards[3]

Bline Stuff[edit]

In addition to his writing and radio careers, Jeff was also the mind behind Bline Stuff, a clothing line aimed at spreading a message of positivity, self-confidence, and supportiveness. During his sickness and following his death, the company ran several special runs of product to benefit the Burton family and various charities. It has since seemed to become inactive without its fearless leader.[4]
