Dr. Jennifer Berman is a urologist, female sexual medicine expert, and women’s health advocate. She is a New York Times best-selling author, often in the media spotlight promoting women’s sexual health and educating the nation on sexuality.
Education and Training Berman received her Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland Medical Center and her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her post-graduate residency in urology at the University of Maryland where she was involved in Viagra’s first clinical trials, and went on to complete her fellowship training in Female Urology and Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. In 2001, Berman co-founded and directed the Female Sexual Medicine Center at UCLA where she pioneered clinical and basic science research studies that continue to guide those in the field of female sexual health. She has taught as an associate professor of urology and has also lectured worldwide.
Awards and Recognition Berman has received local, national, and international recognitions for her contributions in the promotion and advancement of women’s sexual health, including The Women of Action Award, the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women Who Make a difference Award, and the Rising Star of the Year Award. She has also received the Pfizer Scholar in Urology Award for two consecutive years.
Media Work Berman first stepped into the media spotlight in 1998 as a urologist when she did interviews on Viagra’s first clinical trials. In the 2000s, she co-hosted Berman & Berman – a talk show focusing on women’s sexual health – with her sister, sex and relationship therapist Dr. Laura Berman. She has made numerous and frequent appearances as a female sexual wellness advocate and as a female sexual health advisor in various TV and radio programs including Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Phil, Conan, CNN, and CNBC. She has also been featured in several publications such The New York Times Magazine and Newsweek. In addition, Berman was also a recurring co-host on the Emmy award-winning talk show The Doctors. Berman actively uses social media platforms, especially Instagram, to showcase her services as well as continue educating and sharing client experience real-time.

Berman co-authored two New York Times best-sellers: For Women Only: A Revolutionary Guide to Overcoming Sexual Dysfunction and Reclaiming Your Sex Life and Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman: Ten Keys to Unlocking Ultimate Pleasure.
Private Practice Berman founded and currently directs the Berman Women’s Wellness Center in Beverly Hills, a comprehensive and multidisciplinary state-of-the-art facility dedicated to optimizing women’s sexual and urological health. The facility offers diverse as well as revolutionary treatment options to a range of sexual health issues including but not limited to hormonal imbalance, incontinence, menopause, vaginal dryness, and pelvic pain. Berman’s treatment strategy primarily involves non-surgical procedures that utilize radiofrequency – comfortable and requiring no downtime.
