Jenny Gu (Chinese: 顾格格 (Gù Gégé); born c. 1979[2]) is a Chinese news anchor.
Jenny Gu was born in Beijing, but moved to the United States when she was eleven years old. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Economics and Finance.[1]
Gu participated in Miss Chinese International 2002,[2] where she made the top 5 together with the Hong Kong actress Shirley Yeung. From June 2006 to January 2009 she worked at Office of the Secretary (U.S. Department of Labor) and then from February 2009 to January 2010 in the office of Elaine Chao at The Heritage Foundation.[3] Currently Jenny Gu is a news anchor on the English-language news program CCTV News on China Central Television.
Gu speaks Mandarin and English and enjoys badminton, playing piano, drawing, swimming, traveling, and volunteering.[2]
