In Nucleon, Jeppe Hedaa developed a formula to measure what holds back an organization’s IT performance. It is a tool that calculates how much development power an IT team has and what improvements will have the greatest impact on the performance of an IT department. He and his company 7N researched hundreds of IT disciplines, reviewing academic research and applying empirical studies to identify the individual factors that best practices has proven lead to high performance in IT development. The Nucleon formula measures the effectiveness of an IT organization in three areas: People, Organization and Complexity.
