Acting
When we analyze movie production in Sri Lanka, the south has more opportunities than that of the north. However, in late 2009, a movie production company named AAA Movies International called for applicants who were interested in acting. He was selected in the audition among 350 youth talents. However, the first debut release which exclusively revealed his talent to the world was an advertisement from ANDRA Wedding Card. After that, he got a chance to act as a close friend of the hero in a full-length movie Panaimarakadu, which is yet to be released. After that, he signed for two other advertisements for Nelli Soda. After two years of his debut, Shamithan, who worked with him in the ANDRA wedding card advertisement, contacted him to act in his short film 1023 Varudankal, which was a milestone achievement for him as it was where he was shown on a big screen as a main actor. Moreover, he won the best actor award in the short film industry, so many directors reached him to sign many projects. This is how his journey in the cinema field has started.
Singing
His singing career has started far before his acting career. He started singing at Pure Mary's Cathedral since 2003. This became his motivation to sing in various contests from which he won first places. After that, he reached up to the fifth last round in Vadakkin Nadshatram singing competition organized by the Sri Lankan government that became a turning point in his singing career as he started working in musical bands. Although he initially joined Aingaran musical band, he currently works in 5 other bands. Additionally, he sang in a few other musical albums such as Manniyum and Izhappinum Sakkithundu. He was awarded as best singer and received an award from South Indian music director Dhina in Yarl Nadsathram 2012 musical competition. He received first place at the national level for a singing competition conducted by the National Youth Service Council. Recently in 2014, he won an award in the Padunkal Vellunkal program organized by DAN TV.
