Jeremy Jack Bieber (born June 4, 1975) is a Canadian producer and former pro-am mixed martial artist.[3] He is the father of Justin Bieber.
Life & Career
Bieber was born on June 4, 1975, in Stratford, Ontario, the son of George (1952-2021) and Kathleen Bieber (née Hamill). He has four siblings – Rob, Bonnie, Brad, and Steve. George Bieber was a demolition contractor who became disabled after suffering from a back injury, forcing him into early retirement. He was of French-Canadian and German ancestry.
Growing up, Bieber faced several legal troubles in his life. In 1997, at the age of 22, he was arrested for assault and sentenced to 90 days in prison. He was also reportedly charged with failing to comply with the terms of his probation and spent three weeks in jail. Bieber was arrested again in 2002 for assault, but the case was dismissed two years later. All of this only came to light in 2014, by which time his son Justin had already attained international stardom.[4]
Bieber has tried his hand at a number of fields to date. He initially worked as a musician for some bands. He then decided to pursue a career as an MMA martial artist. After failing to taste success in both endeavors, Bieber got into the production business and went on to produce a few documentaries, such as Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower (2016), Justin Bieber's Believe (2013) and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011), after Justin gained popularity.[1] Bieber currently works as a carpenter and construction worker, and is also credited as the founder of the lifestyle apparel brand company, Bieber Industries.
Family
Bieber was in a relationship with Pattie Mallette from 1991 to 1994. The liaison resulted in a son, Justin Bieber, and the couple soon after broke up. Later, Bieber entered into a relationship with Erin Wagner. They had two children, Jazmyn and Jaxon, before splitting up in 2014.[5] In 2016, he got engaged to Chelsey Rebelo, and eventually married her in 2018. The couple has a daughter, Bay.[6][7] Bieber also has a step-daughter, Allie, who is Rebelo's daughter from a previous marriage.[8]
