Jermaine Carter (Born November 30th), better known by his stage name J Young or J Young MDK,[1] is an Actor, American rapper, Hip Hop artist from Atlanta, Georgia. [2] In 2019, he released a new album titled "Now or Never" with executive producer of the album Jamie Foxx. [3]

His first official album was in 2014 titled "Before I Go Hollywood" featuring Kaleena Harper and Yung Mazi[4]

He played Hussein Fatal in 2017's All Eyez on Me movie.[5] [6] Later, in 2017, Carter played young Tupac Shakur in the TV Series Snapped: Notorious ,[7]

Career[edit]

A rap battle between J Young and fellow artist Cassidy in 2006, catapulted him as the ‘Freestyle Champion’ for the ‘Roc the Mic’ tour led by Jay-Z[8] Young was invited to become a host/ artist on a popular DVD series entitled Cheddar volume 9 in 2008. Young’s input on the DVD series gave him national exposure as a new up-and-coming artist.[9] Carter appeared in the TV series The Coroner: I Speak for the Dead episode "Rigor Mortis" as Zachary Belcher in 2016.[10] Jermaine's second TV appearance was in the Music & Murder TV series. He played "Famous" in the episode "Expect a Visit". In 2018, Carter released a single titled "Drip" featuring Sammie ,[11] In 2019, Carter released a single titles "Savage" featuring Verse Simmonds ,[12]
