Jerome A. Munson (April 15, 1955 – April 6, 2023) was an American politician, who served as mayor of Rapid City, South Dakota from 2001 to 2003.[1]
Biography
Munson was born on April 15, 1955 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Dr. H. Ben Munson and May Munson.[2] He graduated in 1973 from Stevens High School, and attended Malcaster College.[2] He started his own company in 1982 and in 1984 he founded Munco Incorporated.[3][2]
He ran for mayor twice before being elected in 2001. He served as mayor from 2001 to 2003.[4] After he retired, he volunteered in various places in Rapid City.[2]
He died on April 6, 2023, nine days before his 68th birthday.[2][4]
