Jesper Wung-Sung

Jesper Wung-Sung (born 23 May 1971) is a Danish author, who has won numerous Literary award, including De Gyldne Laurbær.[1]

He made his debut with the collection of novellas To ryk og en aflevering.

Jesper Wung-Sung's great-grandfather, San Wung-Sung, came from China. His great-grandfather came to Denmark, where he was exhibited in the "Chinese village" in Tivoli. Here, San fell in love with the Danish baker's maid Ingeborg. Jesper Wung-Sung wrote the novel En anden gren about his great-grandfather's story, which won the De Gyldne Laurbær, in 2017 .The song "To Veje" by the group Katinka is inspired by the novel.
