Jetex is a general aviation trip support company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Since launching over a decade ago it has developed an extensive global network, and now operates 30 fixed-base operators (FBOs) and ground handling stations in multiple countries.
Jetex provides FBOs, ground handling, aircraft fueling, international trip planning and bespoke concierge services. Global operations are coordinated from three operations centers, located in Dubai, Miami and Beijing.

2004 – 2012[edit]
Jetex was launched in June 2005 at the Dubai Airshow.[1] The company initially focused on flight support and arranging charter flights through its fleet of six aircraft.[2]
In February 2009, Jetex opened its first FBO facility at Paris-Le Bourget Airport.[3]
In 2010, Jetex launched its Asian operations with the opening of a 24/7 operations center at Beijing Capital Airport.[4] A new facility was also opened at Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) in Ukraine to oversee CIS operations.[5]
2011 saw the launch of a new FBO at Shannon International Airport, Republic of Ireland.[6] This airport was the world's first to offer US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) preclearance.[7]
Jetex's mobile application and online web portal was initiated in September 2012. The Jetex app is available on iOS and Android devices, and offers seamless integration with the company's trip planning system.
October 2012 saw the company expand into the Americas, by supplying fuel to international operators and domestic airports in Brazil.[1]
2013 - 2015[edit]
At the start of 2013, Jetex opened a flight planning lounge at London Oxford Airport.[8] The company signed an agreement with Honeywell in May 2013 to re-sell the technology company's Global Data Center flight support services. In turn, Honeywell customers would be able to use Jetex's international trip-planning services.[9]
In November 2013, the Jetex FBO at Dubai World Central (now rebranded as Dubai South[10]) entered an agreement with Bentley Motors Middle East three Bentley Mulsanne cars for its chauffeured luxury car transportation.[11]
The company expanded to the United States in October 2014, with the opening of a state-of-the-art Operations Center in Miami, Florida.[12]
In 2015 Jetex announced a partnership with JetSmarter to make Jetex trip support available to JetSmarter companies. Under the agreement, JetSmarter would fly most of its worldwide charter flights through Jetex facilities.[13]
May 2015 also saw Jetex establish an FBO at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, in a collaboration with Chile's Santiago FBO.[14] The company further expanded its Latin America operations into Mexico in November 2015, when it signed an agreement with EOLO to co-brand an FBO facility in Toluca, Mexico.[15] That same year, Jetex opened two new locations in Tokyo, Japan.[15]
2016 - 2017[edit]
In early 2016, Jetex's shuttle service at its Dubai FBO Terminal was upgraded from Rolls Royce Ghosts to Rolls Royce Phantoms.[16] In May 2016, the Jetex Dubai FBO became the first facility in the Emirate to achieve the prestigious International Standard for Business Aircraft Handlers (IS-BAH) accreditation.[17]
May 2016 saw the Jetex global network grow further, with the opening of an FBO Terminal in Marseille, France[18] and the announcement of 5 new facilities in Morocco. Operations commenced in Morocco in October, with the launch of FBOs in Casablanca and Marrakech.[19]
December 2016 marked a milestone in Jetex's history, with the official launch of the company's Flagship FBO Terminal at Dubai South. The newly redesigned facility incorporates cutting edge interior design and offers a full spectrum of ground support services. The 1,500-square-meter terminal offers on-site customs and immigration, ground and baggage handling, fueling and security, as well as helicopter transfers to major destinations in the UAE. Also featuring 50,000m2 of dedicated ramp parking space, the FBO is the company's largest worldwide.[20]
Jetex unveiled further expansion plans in May 2017, with the opening of 3 new ground handling facilities in Spain[21] and 15 FBOs in France.[22] The announcement of the company's first FBO in Italy at Rome Ciampino Airport, set to open later in the year, brings the total number of Jetex locations in Europe to 25.[23]
2018 - 2019[edit]
In April 2018, Jetex formed a partnership with Wright Electric, an American company specializing in building electric aircraft. The partnership made Jetex the first general aviation company globally to champion and support electric aircraft for short haul flights.[24] The same month, the company’s FBO at Rome-Ciampino International Airport commenced full operations, marking Jetex’s first entry into Italy.[25]
In October, Jetex was awarded FBO of the Year at the 2018 Aviation Business Awards for the second consecutive year.[26] The latter part of 2018 saw Jetex Abidjan, the first and exclusive FBO in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, become fully operational,[27] and Jetex becoming the exclusive dealer of HondaJet in the Gulf and Middle East region.[28]
Jetex opened 2019 with great news. In January, its Dubai and Paris FBOs were each awarded with five-star ratings by The Global Star Rating System for Services, making Jetex the only private aviation company in the world to be assessed and awarded by the organization.[29]
The same month, Jetex São Paolo began operations at the São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, the largest airport in Latin America.[30] By April 2019, Jetex added a third location in Japan at Kansai International Airport.[31]
The company capped off 2019 by winning three major awards at the prestigious World Travel Awards: World’s Leading FBO Brand 2019, World’s Leading FBO Terminal 2019 for its VIP Terminal in Oman, and World’s Leading FBO Brand Website 2019.[32]
2020 - 2021[edit]
In February 2020, Jetex further strengthened its position in the African market by opening North Africa’s first VIP Terminal at Marrakech Menara Airport,[33] bringing its total number of locations in Africa to 16.
In July Aerion Supersonic and Jetex have signed a strategic partnership which aligns the two companies in delivering a seamless ultra-luxury travel experience to their customers.[34]
Jetex Singapore becomes the company’s 33rd international location and the fourth in Asia-Pacific in October 2020.[35]
2021[edit]
In January Jetex signed an agreement with Falcon Aviation to manage its FBO and hangar at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai. This is a significant milestone for the global private aviation industry as Jetex is now operating the world’s largest private terminal in terms of VIP lounge space, which spans more than 32,000 square feet.[36]
In May Jetex expands its operations In Latin America with new locations In Argentina, Colombia and Peru offering its local customers and international operators a wider range of seamless services and dedicated support at each location.[37]
Jetex and American Hospital Dubai launch new healthcare program for international patients and announce their partnership to deliver efficient, state-of-the-art medical travel services for international patients. in June.[38]
In September Jetex takes part in Air Charter Expo 2021, a dedicated forum for the global business air charter industry, which will takes place at London Biggin Hill Airport.[39]
Early October Jetex committed to ambitious emissions reduction goals set by The International Air Transport Association (IATA) decarbonizes Aviation by offering SAF at Helsinki Airport.[40]
In October, Jetex announces new locations In Ecuador And Peru and increases its presence throughout Latin America.[41]
Later on this month, Jetex reaffirms its commitment to offering the latest technology in private aviation. It joined efforts with Honeywell to equip private aircraft with next-generation data routers to ensure a seamless global connectivity.[42]
In November Jetex, for the fourth consecutive time, is named the Official FBO of the Dubai Airshow 2021, taking place on 14–18 November at Dubai World Central (DWC).[43]
Jetex announced a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with JetClub, a fractional ownership-based business aviation brand. The MOU signing ceremony between Adel Mardini, Founder & CEO of Jetex, and Vishal Hiremath, Founder & CEO of JetClub, took place at Jetex VIP Terminal ahead of the Dubai Airshow 2021.[44]
The same month, Jetex is pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Eve Urban Air Mobility, an Embraer company, and announce a partnership aimed at developing the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem. UAM will make air commuting more accessible and convenient for everyone. 100% electric, quiet and safe, electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft are the future of transportation aimed at easing congestion and bypassing any potential ground mobility restrictions.[45]
December brings Jetex three prestigious recognitions at the World Travel Awards Grand Final: World’s Leading Private Jet Experience, World’s Leading FBO Brand and World’s Leading Private Jet Terminal for Jetex Paris. Jetex private terminals were voted the world’s number one. In 2021, Jetex has further improved the entire travel journey to let travelers enjoy a safer and more seamless experience across all 34 international locations. It all contributed to Jetex being recognized for having implemented the World’s Leading Private Jet Experience. In 2021 the company witnessed a substantial increase in private jet movements across its entire network and continued to benefit from the momentum to reinforce its brand recognition and awareness, which has been cemented as the World’s Leading FBO Brand.[46]

2022 - present[edit]
In January, Jetex and Berlin Neuhardenberg Airport announced the signing of a Joint Venture Agreement whereby both parties will work towards the development of a world-class executive aviation terminal and fixed base operation at Berlin Neuhardenberg Airport (EDON).The development will include a 1,500 sq.m. private jet terminal, office buildings, flight support and conference center as well as associated ground works and infrastructure. With up to 20 additional parking lots for private jets with associated technical requirements, the FBO will offer maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities, full ground support and equipment for a seamless operation.[48]
