Jevgenijs Aleksejevs (Latvian. Jevgenijs Aleksejevs) is a Latvian professional boxer and kickboxer.

Early sport years[edit]

At the age of 6, Jevgenijs's father brought him to the taekwondo section. On the section, he received a black belt, and became a multiple champion of Latvia, the Baltic states, and Europe. Black belt, 1st dan. At the age of 13, he began to perform in parallel according to the rules of kickboxing, and even then he began to show good results. At the age of 14, having spent 7 fights in a day, he became the world kickboxing champion in Italy. At the age of 15, he became the European champion in the kickboxing.

Since then, Jevgenijs has had a huge number of professional fights under the rules of K-1, and also has European and Latvian titles.

Injury[edit]

In 2015, Jevgenijs was preparing for a fighting show KOK World Championship. There were great chances to win, but at the 17th second of the first fight he broke his leg, and his career in kickboxing was over. For two months, Jevgenijs walked on crutches, and at that time he could not play sports. The athlete resumed training a month later, as he got up from crutches.

The beginning of a boxing career[edit]

Six months after the injury, Jevgenijs was offered a boxing fight at Arena Riga. At that time, the boxer had 2 wins in the record, but there were no thoughts that he would become a professional boxer. Jevgenijs still wanted to return to kickboxing. After the fight, Evgeny was given a microphone and asked if we should wait for him back to kickboxing, and he said yes.

Two months after the first fight, Jevgenijs was again offered a boxing match, he held it and, after consulting with the coach, decided that he would remain in boxing.

Numerous trainings and sparring with the world boxing champion, the Latvian star Mairis Briedis helped the athlete rise in boxing.

Since then, he's fought tough boxers, gatekeepers, prospects, and even tough jockeymen. Until now, Jevgenijs's record is 13-0. The 14th victory was the fight with the French boxer Dimitri Trenel 'Hussard', which will be held on August 5, 2023 in Spain.
