Jewelry retouching

Jewelry retouching is editing jewelry images with photo editing software. Jewelry retouchers usually use Photoshop to retouch images.

It is a several steps process.

Step 1:

Cutout the image from background

Step 2:

Remove imperfections with clone, brush Photoshop tools

Step 3

Adjust the colors with color balance, hue saturation, and other tools in Photoshop

Step 4

Sharpen the images with sharpen, unsharp mask

Step 5

Adjust the exposure with exposure, curves in Photoshop

Step 6

Save image as PSD format and also jpeg format for quick viewing or usage on website.
