Personal Life | Ji-Moon Suh was born in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea on March 28, 1948. She attended Kyunggi Girls’ High School.[6]

Career | In the early stages of her career as a literary scholar,Ji-Moon Suh felt the need to introduce Korean literature to the world, especially the Western world, but she realized that it was hard for Korean literature to be known in the Western world due to language barriers. Therefore, she translated Korean literary works into English and published them in English-speaking countries. [13]
