James William Nettles (born March 2, 1947) is an American professional baseball outfielder. He played all or part of six seasons in Major League Baseball, between 1970 and 1981, for the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics. In 1975, he played for the Nankai Hawks in Japan, and in 1976 he played in the Mexican League. Following his playing career, Nettles managed in the minor leagues from 1983 until 1996, which included the Madison Muskies from 1985 to 1989.[1]

Jim is the younger brother of former major league third baseman Graig Nettles.[2]
