Jim Staahl

Jim Staahl is an American screenwriter and actor. He is best known for co-creating the animated TV show "Bobby's World".[1][2] in the 1990s starring Howie Mandel, and for playing Nelson Flavor opposite Robin Williams in "Mork & Mindy."[3]

Staahl began his career as a cast member of Chicago's Second City theater in 1973, where he performed with the likes of Betty Thomas, Bill Murray and John Candy.[4][5] He went on to write for nine episodes of the theater's spinoff TV series, SCTV, in 1979.[6]

He appeared in several feature films including Spies Like Us[7], Max Dugan Returns[8], and Night Shift[9]

In 1993, Staahl co-wrote the film adaptation of The Beverly Hillbillies, starring Jim Varney and Diedrich Bader.[10]

Staahl was a series regular on Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2002.[11] He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and continues to write and perform. [12]
