Jimmy Gonzales
Jimmy Gonzales (born in Texas) is an American television and film actor. He is known for his roles in Mayans M.C. and Lodge 49,[1][2] and for portraying the director of an orphanage in the 2021 film Blue Miracle; a lead role opposite Dennis Quaid,[3] drawing from his own experiences with foster care and childhood poverty.[4] Gonzales is set to appear in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film The Odyssey.[1]
Early life
Gonzales was born in Texas, the son of migrant workers with Mexican ancestry.[4] Growing up in poverty, he got involved in street gangs, until his mother decided to release him into foster care at age eleven, where he was shuffled around to various foster homes.[4] In his early 20s he worked in construction jobs, took acting classes at a community theater in Austin in 2003, and got a side job as a production assistant for The Alamo.[4]
