Matias Rengel, known professionally as Jiroe, is a record producer and guitarist. He produced and mixed Dry by Rancid Eddie[1] which peaked at number 2 in ARIA Charts[2] and number 4 in New Zealand.[3]
Background
Jiroe grew up in Argentina. In 2009 he won third place in the PetrucciFever Guitar contest[4]; he was also part of the Argentina Guitar Fest 2009 [5] sharing the stage with famous guitarist Xavier Moyano. Later on, he went to Berklee College of Music where he majored in Music Production & Engineering.[6]
Career
Jiroe produced the song "Dry" by Rancid Eddie, which reached number 2 on the ARIA Chart Top 20 Australian Singles[2] and number 17 on Top 50 Singles.[7] He also co-produced and mixed the song "Beautiful Life" by Cobra Starship.[8] He produced and co-wrote the song "Dejar Las Penas" by Jhonny SZ which in 2021 was nominated for the "Festival Tucumán Cine"[9] for Best Music Video.[10]
