Jiyen Krishnakumar[1][2][3] (official name: GN Krishnakumar; born 01 May 1978), is a Malayalam movie director. Jiyen directed four movies, till now, which includes three Malayalam movies and one Tamil movie. In 2010, Jiyen made his directorial debut in Malayalam movie industry with the cinema “College Days[4]”, Kaanchi[5] released in 2013, Tiyaan[6][7] released in 2017 and in 2020 he made his directorial debut in Tamil movie industry with the cinema “Paramaguru[8]”.

Biography[edit]

Jiyen Krishnakumar (S/o K. Gopinathan Nair & T.Nalinakumari) was born on 01 May 1978 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala state. He completed his matriculation from St. Xaviers High School[9], Thiruvananthapuram. After his college education from Christian College, Thiruvananthapuram., he joined National Institute of Film Technology in Kerala, for the Direction & Script writing course.

Early life[edit]

He started his film career as Assistant Director in 1998. After 3-4 years of experiences with Malayalam film makers, he started directing serials and telefilms. And later he focused in malayalam movie industry.
