Policies[edit]

State Sovereignty[edit]

Blystone has said he believes in the 10th Amendment whole heartedly and is against executive orders coming from the President of the United States no the states.

Second Amendment[edit]

On guns in America, Blyston has said "As a farmer and hunter, I believe the right to bear arms is grounded in the belief that every American has a right to defend his life, the lives of his family, and his nation. I am an ardent second amendment proponent and will stand firm as governor to protect and preserve this right for every Ohioan."[2]

Abortion[edit]

Blystone is Pro-life in all circumstances unless the life of the mother is threatened.

COVID-19[edit]

Blystone is strongly against all government lockdowns and mask orders. He has said he believes that individual businesses and people should make their own risk assessments and that the government does not have the authority to issue large scale lockdowns. He believes all schools K-12 should be open 5 days a week. Blystone has said, As governor, I will work with all health care providers and consumers, in addition to the leading medical experts within our state, to examine how the administrative “public health” agencies and authorities can be modernized away from a "one size fits all" approach.[3]

Tax Policy and Spending[edit]

Blystone wants to greatly cut taxes across the board and supports the Trump tax cuts. He believes the regulations and taxes onto small businesses is too much and wants to make changes to them. Blystone also believes the Ohio budget is far too expensive compared to other states and wants to cut the budget drastically.
