Joe Dexter (born 23 December 1987) is a British singer, songwriter and record producer. He is the lead singer of pop punk band Orange who were signed to Hellcat Records by Tim Armstrong at only age 16.[1] and is also the son of Sade bassist Paul Spencer Denman.[2] They have released four albums and have toured with bands like Bowling For Soup, Misfits, The Adicts, Reel Big Fish and Zebrahead. In 2009 he wrote the theme song Revolution for Cartoon Network's Generator Rex and performed it with Orange. Dexter releases solo material under his own name alongside covers such as Last Christmas, Out of Reach, The Promise and I Want You to Want Me.
He was diagnosed at six months old with the genetic disease Cystic Fibrosis.[3]
At age 15 he played bass on Thing's You'll Never Know by Sweetback which is comprised of Sade's backing band Paul Spencer Denman, Stuart Mathewman and Andrew Hale.[4]
