The Joe Hakim Trophy is a hypothetical FIFA international football trophy. The trophy is a Title holders Trophy, with an identical concept to the rugby equivalent Raeburn Shield.[1] The Joe Hakim Trophy was first awarded to Germany for their victory against France in their 33rd meeting, taking place at Dortmund. The trophy is named after the common misconception that the French first name Johakim is a full name Joe Hakim.
The trophy is obtained by challenging and beating the current Joe Hakim Trophy holder. Since the trophy is hypothetical, the setting of this match can be either a friendly game, World Cup game, or a championship game, such as the UEFA European Championship in Europe, or the Copa América in South America, among others.
The reigning champion is currently Germany.
