Joe Mugford, known professionally as Joe Muggs is a British music journalist, writer and DJ. He is a frequent contributor to The Guardian[1], The Wire[2], FACT magazine[3], and other music journalism outlets.

Biography[edit]

Music Journalism[edit]

Mugford has written for several British music journalism outlets, including music blogs, features and reviews for The Guardian newspaper,[1] articles for The Wire[2], FACT magazine[3], features for Mixmag[4][5][6][7] and Resident Advisor[8]. He has also spoken on the dark elements of DJ culture at a Tedx even in London's Brick Lane[9].

Promotion, compilations and DJing[edit]

In addition to journalism, Mugford has also worked in A&R and is former Editor in Chief of the UK music project Boiler Room[10]. He has also produced compilation albums for major outlets, such as Ministry of Sound[11]. More recently he has moved into DJing[12][13].

Personal life[edit]
