Joe Tracz is an American playwright, screenwriter, and producer who currently writes for Netflix’s original series A Series of Unfortunate Events. He is best known for writing the book of the musical Be More Chill which opened in Broadway on March 10, 2019.[1] His career began with the premiere of his musical Poster Boy at the Williamstown Theater Festival with Craig Carnelia and his musical adaptation of The Lightning Thief with Rob Rokicki.
Tracz earned his B.A. from Kalamazoo College and a M.F.A. from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.[2]
