Joel Johnstone is an American film and television actor, best known for his role of Cameron in The Newsroom.[1]
Career
On December 3, 2012, Johnstone joined Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom to play Cameron.[2] On March 21, 2013, a new HBO series titled Getting On was announced, in which Johnstone will star.[3] He acted, directed and wrote a comedy short film The Pilgrim & the Private Eye, which was played at The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Harlem International Film Festival and L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival.[4] He won The Ralph Ince Directors Award for his short The Pilgrim & the Private Eye.[5] He also gave his voice to two video games, Dishonored and Aliens: Colonial Marines.[6]
On August 21, 2013, Johnstone joined the cast of the Disney's adaptation Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which is set for an October 10, 2014 release.[1] On November 6, 2013, he joined the cast of Nicholas Sparks' pilot Deliverance Creek.[7]
