Joseph Chian Yee "Joey" Lau,(Born Aug 4th, 2004) is a self-recording Chinese independent student music producer from Shanghai, China. He is currently working on high school in YK Pao School, Shanghai.

Music Producing[edit]

Lau released his first single called "The White Coast" in September, 2015. It was written in Cantonese, and it was never a hit. Lau said he wrote the song at school in 10 minutes. Originally, it was a music for a piece of Chinese poetry.

In 2016 Lau went to Vancouver for a trip. He wrote some songs, including a The Eagles imitation track "Vancouver". At the same time, Lau was planning a band performance on Pudong Foreign Languages School, his school at the time. The planned band mates included Steve Mung and another "Sam". That became Lau's only band performance before 2018. The high school band was called JeSuS, with whom Lau recorded a version of Westlife's My Love and Steve Young's Seven Bridges Road.

In May 2018, Lau released his debut album [[<Joey Lau 2018>]]. It included some of the re-recorded versions of the older songs (Happy Market, Vancouver, etc.) and 2 new original songs. It also included some cover tracks such as Tequila Sunrise, Five Hundred Miles and many else.

Lau's January 2018 cover single Five Hundred Miles accumulated 180,000 listens on Alimusic, Lau's main music uploading website. Lau registered a NetEase Music music producer license in April 2018. Lau's producing a new album now, and it will be out in about October 2018.
