Joey Matthews
Joey Matthews, (Joseph Matthew Aurelio) was born on July 11, 1999, at Mountains Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead, California (United States).
EARLY LIFE
Joey grew up in Lake Arrowhead, CA, and attended Co-Op Preschool, Grandview Elementary, Lake Arrowhead Elementary, and Charles Hoffman Elementary. Until the 7th grade, he went to Marry Putnam Hank Middle School and eventually graduated from Rim Of The World High School in 2017.
After graduation, Joey spent his first year working for a grocery store and left to work at Arrowhead Ranch Outdoor Science School, teaching 5th and 6th graders the current state curriculum while exploring the outdoors and playing games and activities to help teach and bond with the youth.
In 2019, Joey bought a 2006 Ford Econoline Van and renovated it with a bed, sink, cabinets, fridge, lights, and more to make it a home where he lived for two years.
On December 14, 2019, at 11:00 PM, Joey received a call from his father saying his beloved brother, Kaleb Aurelio, was shot and killed on Deer Trail in Crestline, CA.
This placed him in a deep depression for over two years.
Over the course of his life, from 16–18 years old, he was uploading videos to YouTube of his remixes of popular rap songs at the time.
In 2019, he released his first single, "Deuces" (featuring Dax), and it wasn't until 2021 that Joey was featured on a track by Mr. Crowley released titled "Rim Of The World."
His second single, titled "Living For You," was for his girlfriend Jenny and was recorded, mixed, and mastered on BandLab.
It wasn't until May 6, 2022, that he released his first EP, "Broke Boy Blues," and he started to make a wave in his hometown. Broke Boy Blues EP is currently sitting at 5,000 streams across all platforms.
