Johan Abdullah (1948 – 7 December 2024) was a New Zealand-born Malaysian actor. He is known as New Zealander Mr. Howell in the 1990 film, Fenomena directed by Aziz M. Osman.[1][2]
Life and career
Born in 1947 or 1948 in Christchurch, New Zealand, Johan worked in his homeland from 1976 before he emigrated to Malaysia where he got main role in Aziz M. Osman's 1990 film, Fenomena.[3] His last involvement in Malaysian film was as producer in Anak Rimau: The Movie (2022).[4] He married Sarepah Meriam Aboo and lived in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan until his death in 2024. His two children are Abdullah Musa and Orchid Raihani.[5] Abdullah died on 7 December 2024, at the age of 75.[1]
