John Conyers III is an American investor relations professional, and the son of long-time U.S. congressman John Conyers.[1] Conyers was endorsed by his father to fill his seat, following his resignation from Congress in December 2017.[2]
Domestic abuse arrest[edit]
On February 15, 2017, Conyers was arrested on domestic violence charges stemming from an argument with his girlfriend. However, he was not charged and has denied all allegations related to his arrest.[3][4]
Vacant Congressional Seat[edit]
Following his father's retirement from Congress, due to a slew of sexual harassment allegations, Conyers was endorsed by his father to succeed him representing Michigan's 13th congressional district.
