John Fontein (born September 9, 1985) is a Japanese American internet entrepreneur, songwriter, record producer and sound designer. He is currently the Co-Founder and President of Sesame.
Education and career
John was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he attended Saint Ann’s High School.[1][2]
John served as Vice President of Business Development at Omio, before co-founding Sesame in 2018.[3][4]
As a songwriter and music producer, John Fontein has worked with artists including Kylie Minogue, Nicki Minaj, Teriyaki Boyz, Verbal, BoA, Koda Kumi and Def Tech.[5]
As a sound designer, John has written original music for various musicals including Stuck, Circumcise Me, and Devil Boys From Beyond, for which he won a FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award.[6][7][8]
John donated all proceeds for the single “We Are One” by Kylie Minogue, which he wrote and co-produced, towards the disaster relief efforts of the Tohoku Earthquake in Japan.[9][10]
