John Groover (born July 19, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the CBA. He played college basketball for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Groover went undrafted but signed with the Memphis Grizzlies, and played part of the season before being released. Groover played several seasons internationally with Eidsvoll, BC Mess, Beijing Ducks, and currently with Xinjiang Flying Tigers in the CBA. Lawson will be the first former NBA player to play in the Basketball Africa League.[1]
