John Lemley is an American broadcast journalist, known for his work as newscast anchor of Crime Stories with Nancy Grace on Sirius XM. He was also a news anchor for WABE, WSTR (FM) and WYAY.

Early life

His father, Bill, was founder of Lemley Chapel Funeral Home and an Alabama state legislator.^[1]^[2] Lemley graduated from Oneonta City School District in 1986 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Birmingham-Southern College in 1990.^[3] He later studied Latin at Emory University.^[4]

Career

From 1997 to 2015, Lemley served as a news anchor and classical music host at WABE radio in Atlanta.^[5] For the next few years, he served as a news anchor, editor/producer, reporter and music host for various Atlanta radio stations, including WMLB^[6], News Radio 106.7 WYAY (FM) and Star 94.1 WSTR (FM).^[7] In 2019, Lemley was named as anchor of the CrimeOnline News Update, a daily feature of Crime Stories with Nancy Grace on Sirius XM Triumph Channel 111.^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]

Personal life

In 2016, Lemley married his long-time partner, Michael Selk, in a private ceremony at the Brice Hotel in Savannah, Georgia.^[12]
