John M. McNamara
John Michael McNamara (1863 – November 23, 1935) was a lawyer and politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as mayor of North Bay from 1899 to 1900.[1]
The son of Michael Mcnamara and Gertrude Murphy, he was born in Walkerton, Bruce County, Canada West. McNamara was educated in Walkerton and at the Toronto Law School. He came to North Bay in November 1888 and set up practice there.[1]
McNamara was president of the Conservative Association for Nipissing District. He served on North Bay council from 1897 to 1898. He served on the local school board. McNamara married Annie Doran.[1]
He died in Toronto at the age of 72.
