John Martinez (artist)
John Martinez is an American artist who created series of paintings of the September 11 attacks. He served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation.
Martinez created a series of paintings about the attacks, starting work on the night of September 11, 2001. His work No Greater Love was chosen by author Barbara Lang-Lyras Auffret as the cover for her book on the 9/11 attacks. Martinez lives in Stapleton, Staten Island, New York, with his wife Ellen.
