John Pork, is a computer-generated pig who appears half-human, half-pig. The pig first began appearing on Instagram via the handle @john.pork, a virtual Internet celebrity, where the creator uploaded images of John in different scenarios, including taking pictures at tourist spots.[1] John Pork is mostly known for his large role in breaking instagram stereotypes, as he post videos of him being happy without having to look perfect.

Although, since 2023, the John Pork meme grew, become more famous. A Tiktok User named ¨@rover.joe¨ is responsible for the meme growing. The Tiktoker had taken an image of John Pork and added the Incoming iPhone call image, while the a ringtone is playing in the background. This meme eventually became known as the meme "John Pork is calling"
