John Ruhlin is the author of Cutting Edge Sales and Giftology.[1] Ruhlin founded and is the CEO of the Ruhlin Group, a gift logistics company that helps clients like the Chicago Cubs and Wells Fargo.[2][3]

Early life and education

John grew up in Dellroy, OH, a poor rural area, with five other siblings.[4] He graduated at the top of his high school class with a 4.0 and originally planned to study medicine. Ruhlin attended Malone University in Canton, OH in 2000.[5]

Career

Ruhlin began his career as an intern for Cutco Cutlery to pay for medical school. At Cutco Cutlery, Ruhlin developed a new strategy for networking and business which he utilized to become the top salesman for the 60-year-old direct sales company.[6][7] With this approach, Ruhlin founded the Ruhlin Group.[2] The Ruhlin Group now uses the strategies that John used at Cutco Cutlery to design gift-giving strategies for Fortune 500 companies and celebrities.[6]

Ruhlin was invited to be the keynote speaker to celebrate the launch of his new book, Giftology[1], at a Leadership Summit in June 2016.[8] Giftology was published on September 15, 2016, and was on the best-sellers list as the top new release.[9][10][4]

Personal life

Ruhlin currently lives just outside of St. Louis, Missouri with his wife, Lindsay, and three children.[10]

Ruhlin also co-authored the best-selling book, Cutting Edge Sales[12].
