John Schuster, (born July 29, 1994) known professionally as John Summit, is an American electronic dance music producer and DJ from Chicago.[3] John has played festivals such as Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland and Movement in Detroit.[4] His Song "Sun Came Up" with Sofi Tukker reached the top 40 charts.[5] John Started his own label "Off The Grid Records" in 2022.[6] John's Song "Human" hit number 1 on US Dance Radio.[7] His song "Where You Are" fearturing Hayla reached the top 10 in The Billboard Dance/Electronic Song charts.[8]

History

John had his breakout moment during the COVID-19 pandemic in June 2020. After months of sending demos to a contact at Defected Records, they signed his single Deep End which was remixed by the house duo Sidepiece in the same year. Before that, he'd been working as an accountant, producing and DJing on the side, until he got fired in March 2019 for spending too much time on music.[9][10]
