JACK ANDREW
John Thomas Andrew, more commonly known as Jack Andrew or "JT" (4 November 1910 -- 20 September 1977)[1] was an American painter of landscapes and genre scenes, which often included railroad subjects. His paintings, most of which were executed in oil on canvas, were usually signed "Jack Andrew" or "Andrew" in a block print style in the lower right-hand corner of the work and were not customarily dated. Titles of the paintings were frequently hand-written on the back side of the work. One example of Jack Andrew's landscapes has come up for auction.[2] An example of one of Jack Andrew's paintings featuring his steam engine subject matter is shown below:
