Johnny Kennedy was a British comedian, actor, singer and radio presenter, best known for his work on Radio City, Dune FM and Wirral Radio. Kennedy was born in Anfield and lived in Saughall Massie, Wirral Liverpool.[1]

Radio career[edit]

Kennedy was best known for his radio programmes on Radio City in Liverpool. His show included a popular feature 'Bride Of The Week' in which Kennedy would ring up a bride and tell them something had went wrong ahead of their wedding, which was loved by listeners. Known as JK, Kennedy was also a presenter on City Gold and then Magic 1548.[2] He also hosted shows on Sandgrounder Radio, Wirral Radio and Dune FM.[3]

Death[edit]

Kennedy passed away on 24 January 2024, aged 88, after a long illness.[4][5]
