Johnson Family Enterprises
Johnson Family Enterprises is an American privately held company controlled by the Johnson family. It owns or controls several other companies, including S. C. Johnson & Son, formerly known as S. C. Johnson Wax. This is a global manufacturer of household cleaning supplies and other consumer chemicals. Other companies under its control include Johnson Financial Group and Johnson Outdoors. Until 2011, it also controlled Diversey, Inc. (formerly Johnson Wax Professional and DiverseyLever), which was then acquired by Sealed Air.
The company's predecessor was established by Samuel Curtis Johnson, Sr. (1833–1919). His children and grandchildren remain actively involved in managing the family of companies, headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin.[1][2][not in citation given]
It is the parent company of S. C. Johnson & Son.[2][not in citation given]
