Jon Safley is an American musician based in Los Angeles, California, best known as the bassist and keyboardist of the rock band CRX.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] He plays an Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass with CRX.[16] Safley is also one half of the dream pop duo People on People[17][18][19] (previously known as The Reflections),[20][21][22][23][24][25][26] with fellow CRX member Darian Zahedi.

Safley was previously the bassist and co-songwriter for Los Angeles punk band The Birth Defects,[27][28][29][30][31][32][33] and drummer of the pop rock band Bleached.[34][35] He also played drums on Beware of Darkness's single Bloodlines.[36][37][38]

Safley released his first single as a solo artist, "6:15," in 2025.[39] Safley's debut full-length solo album is slated for release in 2026.[40]
