Jonathan Aiulu is a Somoan-Australian muay thai and kickboxing fighter based out of ipswich Australia. [1] He has fought in several fighting organisations including K-1.
Growing up in Ipswich he attended Woodcrest State College. Before taking up Boxing and combat sports he played for the Eastern Cobras rugby league team.[1]
Training at All styles Gym, he has trained alongside notable Australian combat fighters like Demsey Mckean and former gym owner Kurtis Pegoraro, All styles gym is regarded as one of the best in Australia with there professional Muay Thai trainers with more than 200 fights in experience between them.[1]
Aiulu Trains for two-three hours per day and up to six times a week, while working a full time job and supporting his family.
2019
in February 2019 Aiulu would make his pro debut at genesis medusa, securing a decision win against Alex Job[2]
on March 22nd 2019, Aiulu would return to the ring at Eruption muay thai 17, winning via TKO in the 3rd round against Damon Goodwin.[3]
In June Aiulu would fight for Rogue Muay Thai, securing the 2nd round TKO victory against Reef Strutt[4]
on the 30th of August 2019, Jonathan Aiulu would return to compete at Erurption muay thai 18 against Jesse March. He walked away with a decision victory.[5]
2020
on the 29th of February 2020, Auilu had a rematch against Reef Strutt which ended in a 2nd round TKO victory for Auilu[6]
2021
On the 30th of October 2021, Aiulu fought on the Destiny Muay Thai 17 card, securing the decision win against Jonathan Tuhu.[7]
2022
In April 2022 Aiulu would face Dzhabar Askerov on the Warriors way 25 card, Jonathan would suffer his first loss, losing via decision.[8]
on the 20th of August 2022 Aiulu returned to eruption muay thai figthing the 21st numbered event, Aiulu would win via decision against Cruz Briggs[9]
on the 12 of November, Aiulu would make his first fight for 1774 muay thai, facing Hugh O'Donnell, Aiulu would lose via decision.[10]
In December Jonathan AIulu vs Cruz Briggs was awarded Fight of the year by the Muay Thai League
2023
in April of 2023 Jonathan Aiulu started off the year with a draw against Payak Samui at Eruption Muay Thai 22[11]
In June 2023 Aiulu rematched Samui at Eruption Muay Thai 29 winning via decision[12]
on the 23rd of August Aiulu fought on the rebellion Muay Thai 29 where he would win via decision against Victor Hugo[13]
on the same night on the 23rd of August, Aiulu would also compete against Mathew Stevens where he would lose via decision[14]
in October Aiulu faced Kong Kiatnavy at Destiny Muay Thai 23 in which he won lost via decision[15]
2024
on the 14th of February Aiulu would start the year fighting at 1774 Muay Thai Series. he fought Luis Cajaiba but would lose via decision[16]
On the 27th of July Aiulu would fly to China to compete in Kunlun fight 101 against Bevan Oguz, Aiulu would win via Decision in the 2024 70 kg Qualifying Tournament H Final[17]
2025
Aiulu would fly to China to compete in Wu Lin Feng 553, he faced Li Changbang and won via Decision[18]
on the 17th of May Aiulu returned to the ring in Australia at the 14th Muay Thai league event beating Elysee Kocheise via 2nd round KO[19]
on the 9th of August Aiulu faced Mathew stevens in a rematched at Muay thai league 15, He won via decsion[20]
in September AIulu would be picked up by K1 to fight in the Tokyo dome where he would face Zhora Akopyan, He would end his debut via decision loss[21]
Aiulu would return to K1 in November where he faced Abiral Himalayan Cheetah, He won via decision.[22] Later that night a fighter pulled out of a scheduled fight, AIiulu was asked to step in on extremely short notice against Jonas Salsicha where he would lose via 1st round TKO[23]
2026
in March 2026, Jonathan Aiulu fought Quinn Wasylak in the Muay Thai world cup in Canada, he lost via decision which was regarded as controversial, days later the WBC overturned the result to a no contest.[24]
