Danny Davis III is an American football wide receiver for the Wisconsin Badgers. The Springfield, Ohio native attended Springfield High School (Springfield, Ohio) and chose Wisconsin over West Virginia University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Cincinnati.

Davis was a four-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN. As a senior, he was named second-team all-state by the Associated Press as both a junior and senior. He also played basketball, earning first-team all-state honors as a senior and second-team all-state as a junior by the Associated Press. Davis set the school scoring record with 1,774 career points.

As a freshman, he played in 12 of the 13 games, starting three. He caught 26 passes for 418 yards and five touchdowns, including a school-record three in the 2017 Orange Bowl win over Miami. He caught his first touchdown of his career in a 33-24 win over Northwestern.

In his sophomore season, he was suspended the first two games of the season. Davis would bounce back and lead the team in receptions with 40 for 464 yards and five more touchdowns. In the triple-overtime victory over Purdue, he made two spectacular touchdown grabs to tie it up late in the game and send it into overtime. Davis made a career-high 10 grabs in the loss to Minnesota.
