Seoul Jongno Fire Station (Hangul서울종로소방서; Hanja서울鐘路消防署) is a fire station under the jurisdiction of the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters, serving the Jongno District of Seoul, South Korea.

History

  • 1925: Established as Keijō Fire Station.
  • 1937: New fire station building completed on Taepyeong-ro.
  • Shortly after 1945 (Korean liberation): Renamed Seoul Fire Station.
  • After the establishment of the South Korean government in 1948: Renamed Seoul Jungbu Fire Station (Seoul Central Fire Station).
  • April 1976: Watchtower demolished.
  • March 29, 1978: Relocated to current site within the Jongno-gu Office complex; the former Taepyeong-ro building was demolished for road expansion.
  • 1983: Renamed to Seoul Jongno Fire Station.
  • 1984: The name Seoul Jungbu Fire Station was revived with a separate opening.
  • September 27, 2021: Temporary station completed near Anguk Station and moved to the new location.
